For all you BINGO lovers out there, the Bigfoot Lodge in Silverlake is holding it’s free weekly Bingo night tonight. If you have never been to the BF, it’s an easy drive to Silverlake on a Sunday night and it’s just off of the 5. The joint is adorned with lego log lookin’ walls, a giant Smokey the Bear and taxidermy. Spencer the movie guy projects obscure vintage 8mm and 16mm while DJ Cooter spins tunes and calls out numbers. Spencer brought in a special movie that I requested last time I was in (synchronized swimmers eating a turkey dinner underwater) and the bartender gave me my 7-up on the house. So right now I’m thinkin’ this place is the bees knees. Did I mention the giant Smokey The Bear?
